Job summary

Texas First Rentals is seeking a Field Service Technician II to provide on-site support at our Waxahachie location. The role includes minor troubleshooting, repairs, diagnostics, and reconditioning of construction equipment for customers.

You will document service reports, order parts, and maintain records while ensuring safety and DOT compliance. The position requires hands-on experience with heavy equipment, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work off-site with some travel.

Qualifications

• Safe work procedures and practices knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, engines and electrical.
• Proficient in basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Plans work activities and prioritizes tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision.
• Removes and installs parts and disassembles/assembles basic components.
• Tests and verifies proper operation of repairs and adjustments.
• Completes service reports, orders parts, and maintains customer records.
• Maintains and documents DOT vehicle inspections and logs.
• Communicates progress to supervisor and customer as needed.
