Job summary

Texas First Rentals in Tyler, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician I to provide face-to-face customer service at an off-site location, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning various light and heavy industrial rental equipment.

You will operate equipment with valid licenses, complete service reports, manage parts orders, and maintain customer records while adhering to safety policies and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• More than one year of heavy equipment experience required.
• MSHA certification preferred.
• Crane/Rigger certifications preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision.
• Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and performs repairs as needed.
• Removes and installs parts, disassembles and assembles basic components.
• Tests and verifies proper operation of all repairs.
• Documents service reports and maintains customer records; orders parts as needed.
• Operates equipment and vehicles with licenses and certificates on hand.
• Maintains DOT-required vehicle inspections and driver logs.
• Maintains all equipment, tools, and vehicle in good working order.
• Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer.
