Job summary

Air Liquide is seeking an Onsite Field Service Technician II in Hillsboro, OR to support semiconductor equipment distribution systems and related gas/chemical delivery hardware.

You will diagnose maintenance issues, install and debug controls, and work with customers to ensure minimal downtime while following safety protocols. The role requires strong electrical, automation, and field service skills with team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related work experience in a related industry or from military service and technical training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems.
• Understanding controls technology including the ability to debug controls, software problems, and install software.
• Experience in downloading and uploading GE/Emerson and AB Rockwell PLCs.
• Knowledge of Proficy Machine Edition, Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000 and Cimplicity.
• Knowledge of how SCADA is used with the Bulk Chemical and Gas Distribution systems.
• Understand Basic Electronics Principles and how to use a multimeter.
• Basic understanding Fluid Dynamics and how it governs fluid and gas flow.
• Ability to use math and computer skills to analyze data.
• Ability to use appropriate hand or power tools and safe work procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to work in a clean-room environment.
• Ability to wear a respirator.
• Demonstrates strong work behaviors including organization, timeliness, dependability, and courtesy to others.

Responsibilities

• Work across product lines including specialty gas, chemical and slurry.
• Complete a variety of assignments within defined processes.
• Maintain and install equipment with intermediate to advanced skills.
• Install and debug software and controls.
• Collect data and analyze equipment to diagnose maintenance problems.
• Identify technical problems and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve issues.
• Complete tasks timely to minimize downtime.
• Analyze means of repair to minimize interruption to customer processes.
• Operate and install auxiliary equipment.
• Work with limited supervision and assist peers.
