Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to lead assigned project work, coordinate schedules and staffing, manage budgets, and act as primary client contact from quoting to close-out. The role requires cross-functional leadership, strong communication, and travel to job sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in machinery moving or construction PM, a PMP (preferred), and proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint. Exempt, full-time, on-site position in MS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction, or related field preferred.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• 5+ years in machinery moving, construction, or PM; rigging knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Able to read plans, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficient with MS Office; SharePoint experience required.
• Willing to travel to client sites and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and complete assigned projects across functions.
• Develop detailed project schedules with milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Review plans and serve as main contact for scope and timelines.
• Manage project finances and resources per budget parameters.
• Conduct Pre-Hand-Off and Post-Hand-Off meetings with sales/ops.
• Anticipate changes and ensure smooth project transitions.
• Supervise field teams and approve timecards.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and project designers via RFIs/QPs.
• Maintain project progress updates with leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate to execute PM plan and handle change orders.
• Coordinate with sales and safety teams for training and investigations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Attend weekly department meetings and report progress.
• Travel to client sites and manage on-site activities.
• Maintain project files in SharePoint for continuity and records.
