Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Abilene, TX is seeking a Project Manager to lead assigned projects from quoting to closeout, coordinating schedules, staffing, and budgets. This role acts as the primary client contact and collaborates with sales, operations, and safety teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in machinery moving or construction project management, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, construction, or a related field preferred.
• PMP Certification is preferred.
• Five (5) plus years proven machinery moving, construction, project management or construction safety experience is preferable.
• Familiar with a variety of field/project concepts, practices, procedures, and risks.
• Excellent supervisory and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Must be able to work alongside field technicians for assembly and erection of machine tools.
• Ability to read and interpret data and plans including schematics, technical manuals, or blueprints.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite; SharePoint familiarity required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and complete assigned projects across functional areas.
• Develop detailed project schedules with milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Serve as main contact for project questions, scope and timelines.
• Manage finances and budget; schedule labor and equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-hand-off meetings with sales and operations.
• Anticipate changes, maintain productivity, and ensure smooth project transitions.
• Supervise field teams and approve timecards; input time codes as needed.
• Communicate with clients and contractors using RFI/Q/P processes.
• Provide regular progress updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Travel to client sites and manage onsite activities.
• Maintain project files in SharePoint and prepare status reports.
• Demonstrate professional conduct aligned with MEI values.
