Job summary

DXC Technology Inc. seeks a Resident Field Support Technician to provide onsite IT support for a client across two Kentucky locations (Jeffersonville and Clay City). You will serve as the primary contact for end users, handle hardware and software issues, and assist with device deployments and incident resolution.

This role requires travel between sites, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently while adhering to SLA targets and security policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT Support, Field Support, or Desktop Support experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in an onsite customer environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise users and infrastructure.
• Experience working under SLA and TTR commitments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Teams.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line onsite technical support to end users.
• Respond to incidents and service requests within SLA targets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
• Install, move, add, change, and dispose of IT equipment.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Teams-related issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the ticketing system.
• Coordinate with remote support teams, vendors, and internal resolver groups.
• Escalate issues appropriately when required.
