Job summary

The Weitz Company’s Rocky Mountain unit is seeking a Field Engineer to be onsite in Telluride, CO for a major hospitality and resort project. You will work under the Project Superintendent, supporting field execution and collaboration with subcontractors.

Responsibilities include assisting with schedules, cost reporting, RFIs, and site logistics while maintaining project quality and client relations. Willingness to relocate for the duration of the project is required.

Qualifications

• Education: industry-related college degree is required.
• Experience: internship or minimum two years of project management construction experience.
• Skills: strong verbal and written communication; ability to balance deadlines; organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of project plan and related safety and cost plans.
• Make design or process recommendations to improve quality, reduce costs, and meet schedules.
• Assist Superintendent with equipment review, pre-construction meetings, and layout as directed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials on site; ensure clear communication of plans.
• Support site logistics, scheduling, and cost reporting; respond to RFIs and coordinate field responses.
