Job summary

Tekgence Inc. in Harrisburg, PA, seeks an L3 Field Desktop Support Technician / Engineer to provide onsite end-user support across multiple sites and to act as the highest escalation point for complex issues in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing desktop, laptop, mobile and peripheral problems, coordinating with internal teams, performing root-cause analysis, maintaining runbooks and documentation, and ensuring security and change-management compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of desktop / end-user support experience (L3 preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows 10/11 environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and device management.
• Proficient with Office 365 and collaboration tools.
• Hands-on hardware and peripheral troubleshooting experience.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience supporting field or multi-site environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex desktop, laptop, mobile, and peripheral issues escalated from L1/L2 teams
• Provide onsite troubleshooting across offices and field locations (hardware, OS, connectivity)
• Support enterprise applications and coordinate with internal teams for issue resolution
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base updates
• Ensure compliance with security, access, and change management policies
• Support users in distributed and field-based environments
