Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Malabar, FL is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site IT support at our manufacturing and engineering facility. This role focuses on resolving hardware, software, and network issues, supporting escalations from Level 1, and aligning IT systems with production processes.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with 8 years relevant experience, or an associate degree plus 4 years experience.
Strong troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, and networked peripherals.
Ability to work with engineering and manufacturing teams in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

Provide first-line troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Handle escalations and perform in-depth hardware/software/network troubleshooting.
Install and upgrade hardware, software, and enterprise apps like Office 365 and SAP.
Diagnose LAN/WAN issues and integrate with PLCs/SCADA/IoT networks.
Perform patching, backups, security audits, and preventive maintenance.
Set up audiovisual tools for meetings and training.
Document incidents and changes in the ticketing system.
Collaborate with Level 3 engineers and vendors on projects.
Ensure IT governance and cybersecurity compliance (ISO/NIST).
Train Level 1 staff and end-users on tools and security.
Manage IT inventory and procure hardware/software.
