Job summary

Iron Bow Technologies is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. The role involves on-site engineering, monitoring, deployment of services, and upgrades for a federal government customer.

The ideal candidate has expert routing/switching skills, SolarWinds experience, and a track record of delivering reliable network operations in a 24x7 environment. Occasional travel to Bowie, MD may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive IT experience with 5+ years in network monitoring and 24/7/365 operations.
  • CCNP certification is required.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance (drug screen, credit check, fingerprint).
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; additional experience may substitute for the BS degree.

Responsibilities

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor, incident, problem, change, and release management; meet SLA goals.
  • Manage WLAN controllers and wireless access points.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third parties to resolve complex issues.
  • Prepare documentation and contribute to KnowledgeBase; participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
