Job summary

ANG Signal is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support our federal government client. The role requires technical leadership on a range of network projects, maintaining day-to-day operations and delivering secure, scalable network services.

This is a customer-facing, hybrid position requiring on-site presence in Washington, DC 1–2 days per week. You will collaborate with a team of experts to design, implement and optimize multi-site networks that serve thousands of users and critical

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Network Engineering with 6+ years as SME/Sr. Network Engineer in large-scale enterprise networks.
• In-depth knowledge of network design including routing, switching, remote access, wireless, and security.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS, BGP, OSPF and related RS technologies.
• Experience migrating, consolidating, and optimizing large-scale, multi-site networks.
• Hands-on with Cisco and Aruba routers and switches.
• Experience with Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, and Aruba wireless.
• Experience configuring Cisco Firepower and Fortigate firewalls.
• Ability to clearly communicate designs to varied audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; CCIE/CCNP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a service provider scale network connecting multiple sites and 30,000 users.
• Provide technical leadership on mission critical projects and maintain stable operations.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems and coordinate with admins for resolution.
• Design and implement network solutions; participate in lab testing of new technologies.
• Maintain open communication with customers and development teams.
• Participate in meetings and project delivery under management guidance.
• Write SOPs and maintenance plans; provide status reports.
• Analyze operations and recommend improvements.
• Define project scope and goals with stakeholders.
