Job summary

Grainger seeks a Maintenance Technician I to support facility operations at our Roanoke, TX site. This onsite role performs routine maintenance, uses hand and powered tools, and supports safety and records-keeping tasks under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ years of maintenance experience, and a working knowledge of basic tools and MS Office applications. Shift is 2:30pm–11:00pm, five days a week, with benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• No maintenance skill evaluation required.
• 1+ years entry-level facilities, maintenance, mechanical, skilled trades, or related experience required.
• Knowledge of basic hand and powered tools and their safe use in routine facilities and maintenance activities.
• Experience using computers, portable devices, MS Office products, or similar applications to enter information and complete routine work records.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facilities maintenance and support tasks within established procedures.
• Assist with maintenance activities and provide access to facility locations needed for service or repair.
• Operate powered industrial equipment and perform battery changes, watering, and maintenance per safety procedures.
• Maintain facilities records by performing cycle counts and entering readings into designated systems.
• Use hand/tools/computers/portables to complete work and communicate with team members.
• Follow safety procedures when working at heights and during spill response.
