Job summary

The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans is seeking a full-time, on-site Facilities & Maintenance Technician in Brookfield, WI. You will maintain building systems, grounds, and office services, with occasional cross‑department tasks in Shipping/Receiving and Printing.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, safety compliance, inventory management, and coordinating with outside vendors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; a technical diploma, certification, or other formal training in a related field is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, and ability to drive the company van is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of hands‑on, labor‑oriented work in indoor/outdoor settings (building maintenance, landscaping, etc.).
• Basic working knowledge of safely using common hand and power tools, ladders, and related equipment.
• We are willing to train the right candidate and offer Tuition Reimbursement for approved facility maintenance certificates.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection and preventative maintenance of building and mechanical systems (e.g., boilers, electrical panels).
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, service requests, and vendor activity; communicate findings and follow-up.
• Inspect outside grounds for safety and repair needs; address concerns promptly.
• Inspect and clear walkways; perform snow/ice removal as needed before business hours.
• Perform minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs and preventative checks.
• Keep mechanical rooms organized, clean, and safe; follow safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Maintain tools, supplies, replacement parts, and inventory; coordinate with vendors.
• Perform Office Services duties: conference room setups, cleaning, stocking, and errands; may assist Shipping/Receiving and Printing up to 25% of time.
• Occasionally work hours outside standard schedule and be on-call for emergencies.
