Job summary

International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, WI seeks a Facilities and Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair buildings, grounds, and equipment across the headquarters. This full-time role covers a wide range of tasks in a unique conservation setting and offers comprehensive benefits and a steady schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, and either a relevant certification or 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid US driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Certification from college/technical school or 2 years related experience and/or training.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, framing, roofing, fencing, painting, electrical, plumbing, welding, and/or engine mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily work orders and urgent maintenance needs.
• Perform groundskeeping including mowing, trimming, and trail maintenance.
• Maintain crane exhibits and off-exhibit bird facilities.
• Monitor and service HVAC systems, water quality equipment, and related systems.
• Operate light equipment such as snow removal equipment and Bobcat.
• Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment and assist with events.
• Keep accurate records of buildings, grounds, and water features.
• Respond to emergencies and outside regular hours as needed.
