Job summary

Lonza Houston is hiring a Manager, Facilities and Engineering, onsite in Pearland, TX. You will lead site facilities operations, drive reliability, compliance, and strategic planning to keep the Houston facility safe, compliant, and efficient.

You will oversee budgeting, staffing, contractor management, and space planning, shaping expansion and future readiness while partnering with vendors to optimize cost and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Biotechnology, or similar field.
• Master’s degree a plus.
• Highly experienced in Facilities Engineering; Pharma/Biotech preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes.
• Strong financial acumen; ability to partner with vendors.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and offer solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for reliable operation and maintenance of Houston site facilities.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for facilities-related activities.
• Oversee contractor vetting, selection, and performance to meet safety, quality, and service standards.
