Job summary

ABB Inc. in Mebane, NC is seeking a Quality Inspector/ Technician to ensure products meet customer and internal requirements. You will support supplier, production, testing, and validation activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of test protocols and measurement practices.

The role requires basic reading of technical drawings, experience with inspection tools, and strong attention to detail. Onsite work and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with measurement and inspection tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Certifications such as Certified Quality Inspector or Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts test protocols to ensure parts, products, and systems meet requirements and customer expectations.
• Supports quality control for supplier and production quality, testing, and validation.
• Assists in quality-related training to promote quality and integrity.
• Reports quality issues data and ensures adherence to the quality management system.
• Collaborates to improve test protocols and capability for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Evaluates metrics to determine compliance with requirements.
• Trains local teams in quality assurance and testing routines within control plans.
