Job summary

ABB's US facility in Pinetops, NC seeks a Quality Inspector/Engineer to perform testing and inspections during manufacturing, ensuring adherence to quality standards and ABB safety guidelines. This onsite role reports to the Quality Manager and requires precise data recording and issue reporting.

You will execute pre-testing for new products, support Factory Acceptance Testing, troubleshoot problems, and maintain regulatory-compliant records within ABB's quality management framework.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with planned maintenance and backlog management.
• Proficient with measurement tools and hand tools.
• Able to safely use ladders and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and inspections during manufacturing to ensure quality.
• Follow ABB workflows, test scripts, and safety guidelines; report non-conformances.
• Perform pre-testing for new products and validate processes.
• Assist in Factory Acceptance Testing and troubleshoot issues to determine root causes.
• Maintain accurate testing records to comply with regulatory and quality systems.
