Job summary

ABB Inc. in Pinetops, NC seeks a Quality Control Technician – Inspector to support the quality team in implementing and maintaining the quality system. You will assist audits, establish controls, train teams, and report KPIs and customer issues with thorough process documentation.

You will collaborate with Production and Engineering to drive quality improvements, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with standards while collecting data to enable local process optimization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• Familiarity with measurement tools and safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supports quality management activities within the local unit.
• Executes quality content, tools, and systems under guidance.
• Reports quality issues and maintains QMS adherence.
• Collects and reports quality metrics and KPIs.
• Uses measurement systems to verify material and product characteristics.
• Trains teams on quality elements and promotes improvements.
• Provides feedback to align processes with customer expectations.
