Job summary

Sprout, a global IT hardware retirement provider, seeks a Business Systems Analyst to bridge operations and technology. You will own configuration and business rules end to end in SmartERP, spending substantial time onsite with warehouse, technical services, and logistics teams to translate real processes into actionable requirements.

You will develop detailed requirements, evaluate impact, support testing and rollout, and document workflows to empower operations leaders.

Qualifications

7+ years in a business systems analyst or similar bridging tech and operations.
Hands-on experience with ERP or operational systems in aftermarket services, reverse logistics, repair and refurbishment, or manufacturing.
A background in applications development; you can discuss data models, APIs, and system design credibly with engineers.
SQL proficiency with ability to write queries against a relational database.
Experience configuring business rules, workflow engines, or similar system behavior — and supporting it afterward.
Experience specifying system integrations and data mappings between platforms.
Clear written communication; producing documents others act on.
PostgreSQL, Databricks, or Power BI semantic model experience.
Product owner or business analyst experience in an agile environment.
Experience with work management tools (GitHub, Jira, monday.com).

Responsibilities

Work directly with operations onsite to understand processes, constraints, and pain points.
Develop clear, detailed requirements grounded in how the current software works.
Evaluate requirements for impact, completeness, and accuracy.
Implement and support business rules, routing, and workflow logic end to end.
Specify data mappings and data movements between systems like SmartERP and partners.
Analyze data with SQL and BI tools to confirm changes and produce ad-hoc reports.
Support testing, rollout, and user acceptance; assist teams adopting new features.
Document workflows and system behavior for operations leadership.
