Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a qualified environmental specialist to provide hazardous and non-hazardous waste services at client facilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The role involves packing, labeling, manifesting and coordinating disposal within contract parameters.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Environmental Science or related field, plus 2–4 years of experience and OSHA Hazwoper certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 2–4 years of industry experience and customer service preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image with clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems.
• Manage onsite customer's hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs per the contract.
• Comply and enforce all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure completion and accuracy of all US DOT/EPA paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste, as required.
• Operate and maintain all equipment in a safe manner to insure optimum efficiency and effectiveness to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
• Knowledge and understanding of contract terms and possess the ability to follow through on assignments.
• Other work related duties, as assigned.
