Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support Lab & Onsite Support Services (Lab/OSS) on-site at client locations in Newington, CT. You will manage hazardous waste programs, enforce regulatory requirements, and deliver exceptional client service.

This role reports to the Operations Manager and requires strong communication, teamwork, and willingness to participate in a 2–3 year advancement program in hazardous waste management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in hazardous-waste industry or relevant military experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities interacting with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Understand OSHA regulations and Triumvirate Health & Safety practices.
• Prepare chemical and biological waste for shipment, manage waste documents.
• Safely handle hazardous waste containers and load/unload waste on client sites.
• Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections and EH&S audits when needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and provide innovative solutions to clients.
• Develop regulatory expertise to meet client compliance needs (RCRA, DOT, OSHA).
• Assist in spill response assessments and cleanup efforts.
• Participate in on-call Emergency Response rotation (optional).
