Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Environmental Specialist for our Lab & Onsite Support Services team. Based onsite at client locations in the NYC area, you will manage hazardous waste programs and projects, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and delivering responsive support.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and operates out of the Astoria, NY office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the hazardous-waste industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and develop solutions.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Willingness to obtain CDL.
• Overtime and flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety practices.
• Prepare waste shipments and federal/state documentation.
• Safe handling and loading of hazardous waste at client sites.
• Conduct environmental health and safety audits for clients.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
• Develop regulatory expertise to meet compliance needs.
• Participate in emergency response and on-call rotations.
