Cabot Corporation is hiring an Environmental Specialist to join the Franklin, LA facility onsite. The role focuses on environmental permitting, air, water, and waste regulatory compliance, and interaction with EPA and LDEQ.

The position requires a 3+ year environmental background and a degree in Safety Engineering or related field. The successful candidate will develop and maintain environmental programs, provide regulatory interpretation, and support SH&E initiatives across plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering or Occupational Safety or related preferred.
• 3+ years’ environmental experience.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with environmental programs involving air, water, and waste.
• Experience supporting environmental permitting and regulatory reporting; Title V air permitting experience is a plus.
• Experience with environmental inspections, audits, compliance monitoring, data collection, and recordkeeping.
• Familiarity with emissions monitoring, testing and/or CEMS preferred.
• Technical capabilities in the specialty area.
• Planning, organization and problem solving skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Data management.

Responsabilités

• Perform moderately complex technical work to support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across plant operations.
• Provide technical analysis and guidance to department, plant, and site leadership on environmental matters.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental programs, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including air, waste, and water requirements.
• Support departments through training, guidance, and implementation of environmental procedures and regulatory changes.
• Prepare and submit regulatory and corporate reports to meet deadlines.
