Job summary

Pace Analytical in Melville, NY is seeking a hands-on Supervisor to lead lab, services and field operations. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy of tests, managing schedules, inventories and staff, while guiding teams to meet quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in chemistry or biology with at least five years in lab operations and two years of leadership experience, and can apply regulatory knowledge to drive continuous improvement in our environmental testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field; AND five (5) years of lab, services, field or testing experience, including experience with complex programs or operations.
• Two (2) years of team leadership is strongly preferred.
• Strong supervisory and regulatory knowledge and ability to interpret complex lab tests and policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff: hiring, training, evaluating performance, and compensation recommendations.
• Oversees lab, services, and field operations including scheduling, inventories, and coordination.
• Ensures data accuracy through audits and reviews; resolves discrepancies with teams.
• Provides analysis and guidance on policies and program operations.
• Presents results and recommendations to management; supports project objectives.
• Interprets policies and assists with regulatory compliance.
