Job summary

Pace Analytical in Melville, NY is seeking an onsite Supervisor to lead lab operations and staff, ensuring accurate testing and data integrity. You will oversee scheduling, inventories, and service coordination while guiding policy interpretation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or related field
• Five (5) years of lab, services, field or testing experience
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Two (2) years of team leadership preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff including hiring, training, evaluating performance, compensation recommendations, and performance management.
• Oversees and supervises lab operations, testing scheduling, inventories, services, and coordination.
• Provides decisions and guidance to resolve questions and requirements of staff and customers.
• Ensures accuracy of tests and operational databases through audits and reviews.
• Manages documentation and data handling across tests, forms, and databases.
• Interprets policies and applies laws and regulations; provides counsel to leadership.
• Analyzes operations to identify trends and presents results and recommendations.
• Participates in department projects with budgets, timelines, and resources.
