Job summary

Clarios seeks an experienced Environmental Engineer to lead compliance programs at the St. Joseph, Missouri assembly site.

You will drive audits, containment, and recordkeeping to sustain regulatory adherence and corporate standards. You will partner with EHS systems and engineering teams to advance environmental management systems, train staff, and support spill prevention, hazard analysis, and regulatory preparedness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, EHS Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Experience with air and wastewater permitting and regulatory programs (CAA, CWA, EPCRA, NESHAP, RCRA, CERCLA).

Responsibilities

• Lead audits, inspections, and recordkeeping to ensure environmental compliance.
• Develop and oversee environmental management systems with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor regulatory changes and prepare required reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to embed environmental considerations.
