Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Columbus, OH is seeking a Network Operational Resident Engineer (Finance) to deliver on-site, reactive and proactive network support for Juniper-based environments. You will lead workshops, design and validate architectures, and troubleshoot with JTAC while aligning with service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years designing, implementing, and operating large-scale IP networks.
• Deep expertise with JUNOS CLI and Juniper platforms.
• Experience with EVPN/VXLAN in enterprise/data center environments.
• Strong routing protocol knowledge (BGP, iBGP/eBGP, OSPF).
• Automation and scripting skills: Ansible, YAML, PyEZ, Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation and resolution of complex, business-critical incidents.
• Design, test, and validate network architectures in lab environments.
• Develop and execute implementation and validation plans for production deployments.
• Troubleshoot network issues across all layers and coordinate with JTAC.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to customer teams on configurations.
• Monitor network health, performance, and service levels; produce status reports.
• Collaborate with peers to share lessons learned and reduce risk during changes.
• Expand expertise across Juniper product portfolio and automation tools.
