Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Engineering Technician to support engineering and manufacturing operations by performing routine testing, troubleshooting, and equipment checkout. You will assist engineers using schematics and defined plans to validate products and test fixtures. The role is on-site in a hands-on lab environment in Champaign, IL.

Strong attention to detail, good communication, and basic electrical measurement skills are essential. 1–2 years' relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical/trade degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a testing/engineering support environment.
• Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting tasks using schematics and instructions.
• Identify routine malfunctions and assist in corrective actions.
• Assist engineers in design, modification, and evaluation of products and test equipment.
• Conduct tests, collect data, and maintain accurate records for analysis.
