Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Project Assistant to support software and systems engineers with administrative, documentation, process, and general engineering-related tasks at our Colorado Springs site. You will assist multiple engineers, maintain meticulous records, and coordinate materials and parts for testing and production activities.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, with occasional travel for offsite

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree (or equivalent) with minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience assisting engineering teams.
• Willingness to support onsite testing activities and related logistics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Test Engineering team with local test setups for seat and seat subsystem testing.
• Acquire raw materials and hardware to support testing activities.
• Support the execution of seat and seat subsystem testing onsite.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to procure materials and hardware for fixtures.
• Work with Quality Engineering to ensure hardware and materials meet test requirements.
• Manage parts ordering and tracking through Ariba.
• Support facility organization and tracking of COPS parts.
