Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX business, seeks an aerospace systems engineer to contribute across the entire software/hardware integration lifecycle. You will capture requirements, design architectures, and verify systems, working with engineers to deliver robust display and avionics solutions. The role emphasizes learning internal processes and applying ARINC/AREP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related STEM major by start date.
• Proficient with high-level software programming languages and/or scripting languages.
• 6+ months experience with developing and testing avionics or other aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of the system development lifecycle including requirements capture, system design and modeling, integrating with hardware and other software components, system verification and validation
• Work with systems engineers and other engineering disciplines to document derived requirements, define internal system interfaces, develop system architectures, integrate system components, and perform system verification
• Test and debug display systems using systems integration labs, simulation environments and specialized test equipment
• Develop automated test procedures and software tools to perform systems integration and testing
• Learn and apply internal processes, methods and tools for systems development and documentation
