Job summary

System One, Inc. seeks an Engineering Manager to lead on-site coordination for a 1,200-MW combined cycle natural gas project in Lee County, Texas. The role interfaces with Owner, EPC, OEM, and engineering teams to drive timely responses and project execution.

The candidate will oversee field engineering, design reviews, RFIs, and turnover activities during active construction and commissioning, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and design intent.

Qualifications

• Power generation project experience, preferably with combined cycle experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in field engineering and project engineering management roles.
• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and issue-resolution skills.
• Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and maintaining momentum on technical issues.
• Experience on site during active construction and commissioning phases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-site engineering and project coordination resource interfacing with Owner, EPC contractor, OEM, and engineers.
• Coordinate and expedite technical reviews, engineering decisions, and drawing/comment resolution to support project execution.
• Support management of RFIs, technical clarifications, design questions, and field issues across multiple disciplines.
• Monitor activities to ensure alignment with contract documents, design intent, and project requirements.
• Provide technical and project-management support for interfaces among Owner, EPC Contractor, OEM, and discipline leads.
