Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking an Engineering Intern to apply classroom learning to real manufacturing challenges at the Savanna, IL site. You will collaborate with engineers, operators, and maintenance teams to understand how products are made and help improve processes.

You will own a meaningful project with guidance, possibly addressing quality, scrap reduction, process improvement, automation, or design evaluation, and present outcomes to facility leadership at program end.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a closely related field.
• Interest in applying engineering skills to manufacturing challenges.
• Availability to work full time and on site for the full 10-week program; limited start-date flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Learn safety practices and follow procedures in office and manufacturing areas.
• Define a project with guidance and develop practical solutions.
• Collect and analyze data to identify opportunities and measure results.
• Use CAD, testing equipment, data analysis, root cause analysis, or lean methods.
• Contribute to safety, quality, productivity, cost, or product performance improvements.
• Document work, communicate progress, and present findings to leadership.
