Job summary

MacLean‑Fogg’s Mallard Manufacturing facility in Sterling, Illinois, offers an Engineering Intern role for the summer. You will work with engineers, operators, quality teams, and maintenance staff to understand how products are made and help improve processes and workflows.

You will own a meaningful project with guidance, learn safety practices, analyze data, and present findings to facility leadership at program end.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related field.
Willingness to work full-time on site at the Sterling facility.
Ability to learn data tools and communicate progress.
Collaboration with production personnel and respect for experienced teammates.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Availability for the full 10-week program.

Responsibilities

Learn the facility's safety practices and follow required procedures.
Work with experienced team members to define a project and develop practical solutions.
Collect and analyze engineering data to identify opportunities and measure results.
Use CAD, testing equipment, data analysis, or lean methods on assignments.
Contribute to improvements in safety, quality, productivity, or cost.
Document work and communicate progress with the team.
Present capstone project and recommendations to facility leadership.
