Job summary

WorkCare is seeking an on-site Occupational Health Technician to deliver first-aid care, manage medical records, and respond to site emergencies. This per diem role requires clinical judgment, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with CMD and supervisors.

The OHT will support wellness initiatives, ergonomic assessments, and return-to-work processes, ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Current EMT/Paramedic licensure in the state of practice.
• 3-4 years of experience in related roles.
• CPR and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid first aid and medical care for employees and during emergencies, as needed (within the OHT scope of practice).
• Coordinate care with WorkCare’s service offerings and physician escalation as needed.
• Maintain pertinent medical records and support health surveillance and reporting.
• Support injury prevention through education and ergonomic evaluation.
• Assist with return-to-work assessments and fitness-for-duty exams.
