Job summary

You will use a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to track units, provide routing, and communicate with customers and agencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EMS dispatch certification and CPR within six months if not current.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge is expected.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Take 911 and non-emergency ambulance requests and process them efficiently.
• Operate CAD system to monitor and control unit locations and movements.
• Obtain routing info and assign appropriate transportation to patients.
• Advise on vehicle selection based on patient needs and conditions.
• Communicate continuously with customers and facilities about delays.
• Provide excellent customer service and problem-solving support.
• Explain insurance coverage and transportation costs as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
