Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies division in Irvine, CA seeks an Intern – Embedded Software, System, and Test Engineer to learn and assist with firmware development, debugging, and testing for MIMO MANET radios. This fully onsite internship runs Monday–Friday at the Irvine office.

Candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science, must be a U.S. citizen, and will complete background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• In-progress Bachelor's degree or preferably in-progress graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical fields.
• Ability to work independently upon receiving instruction/feedback, take initiative, and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and customers.
• Proficiency with PC office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and the internal team.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Embedded firmware development, implementation, testing, and debugging for Silvus StreamCaster radios.
• Development of firmware testing environments and scripts.
• Opportunities to further engage, learn, and develop skills as projects progress.
