Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance in Roseville, MN seeks a Field Service Technician to perform electrical testing, preventative maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs onsite at customer facilities.

Role involves reading schematics, troubleshooting substation components, and participating in transformer, cable, and circuit breaker tests; travel and overtime may be required, with strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Familiarize with industry standards such as NETA, NFPA 70E, OSHA compliance standards.
• Able to troubleshoot complex electrical/mechanical problems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Proficient PC skills including email, internet, data entry, and MS Office.
• Demonstrates punctuality and organized reporting of time and expenses.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution and generation.
• Read schematics/manuals and write diagrams to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace and clean substation components.
• Participate in transformer, cable and circuit breaker testing per procedures.
• Assist in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
• Attend safety meetings and training; comply with DOT/NETA/OSHA standards.
• Travel to customer sites; may work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
