Job summary

Connexion Systems & Engineering in Orlando, FL is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 1-year contract to support aerospace and defense hardware testing. The role focuses on testing, debugging, and programming IRST production hardware and related assemblies on site.

Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance and be available to work Thursday through Sunday, 10-hour days. Experience with Windchill PLM and production troubleshooting is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience using Windchill PLM to retrieve drawings and document production processes.
• Experience diagnosing electrical hardware failures in production environments.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and programming of IRST production hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical hardware failures to support production schedules and system reliability.
• Utilize Windchill PLM to retrieve engineering drawings, reference Manufacturing Process Plans (MPPs), and document production activities.
• Independently investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and quality teams to communicate findings and resolve technical challenges.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, including work instructions, nonconformance reports, and configuration records.
• Participate in root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, security, and classified-information handling requirements.
