Job summary

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Wiring Assembly Technician for an onsite, contract-to-hire role in McKinney, TX. The candidate will wire and assemble electrical control panels, switchgear, and ATS, interpreting schematics and following engineering specs in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, installing PLCs, testing assemblies for quality, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in electrical assembly, wiring, manufacturing, or industrial production preferred.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturing drawings.
Experience assembling electrical control panels, switchgear, or similar equipment preferred.
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Electrical Assembly: Wire and assemble electrical control panels, switchgear, switchboards, and ATS.
Blueprint & Schematic Interpretation: Read schematics and drawings to ensure correct wiring.
Quality & Testing: Inspect, test, and troubleshoot assemblies for safety and quality.
Production Support: Meet daily production schedules and communicate delays or issues.
Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and wear PPE.
