Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical wiring, switchgear or panel assembly.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Familiarity with circuit breakers, relays, transformers, and power distribution equipment.
• Experience with hand and power tools (wire strippers, crimpers, drills, screwdrivers).
• Knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and safe wiring practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchgear panels, control cabinets, and electrical components per drawings.
• Wire components, including breakers, relays, transformers, and busbars.
• Terminate and connect cables and wires.
• Ensure wiring and assemblies meet specifications and quality standards.
• Perform continuity and functional tests on wired assemblies.
• Identify and correct wiring errors and assembly issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems in switchgear systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Document changes and actions; communicate progress to supervisors.
• Maintain safety, PPE compliance, and a clean work area.
