Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Belcamp, MD, is seeking an Environmental, Health, Safety, Security & Sustainability Manager to lead site programs, ensure compliance, and foster a strong safety culture.

The role collaborates with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR, and site leadership to drive improvements, manage permits, audits, incidents, and sustainability metrics, while guiding a team of EHSS&S professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience in EHSS leadership and/or manufacturing operations within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of environmental, health, safety, security, and sustainability regulations, programs, standards, and management systems.
• Experience managing environmental permits, compliance reporting, audits, inspections, and regulatory agency interactions.
• Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve site EHSS&S programs to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
• Promote safety culture through leadership involvement and behavioral-based safety initiatives.
• Manage environmental permits, emissions, effluent requirements, monitoring programs, and regulatory reporting.
• Lead site EHSS&S initiatives that support operations and business objectives.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments; implement timely corrective actions.
