dfwHR is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Professional for our Louisville, KY client in a direct-hire role. The ideal candidate is an early-career EHS professional with a solid safety foundation and the ability to learn complex manufacturing processes.

Approximately 70% on the plant floor and 30% in documentation, investigations, training, and reporting. Responsibilities include safety inspections, hazard identification, incident investigations, and supporting OSHA compliance, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of EHS experience (internships/co-ops acceptable).
• Basic understanding of occupational safety principles and effective workplace safety programs.
• Familiarity with core manufacturing safety concepts (risk assessment, lockout/tagout, confined space, hazard identification).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn technical/complex subject matter and influence safe behaviors.

Responsabilités

• Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor supporting employees, supervisors and leaders.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions with leadership.
• Address unsafe behaviors and reinforce safety expectations.
• Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Support ergonomic evaluations and other exposure assessments.
• Assist with OSHA compliance and maintain EHS documentation and metrics.
• Support training on lockout/tagout, confined space and other programs.
