Job summary

dfwHR's client in Louisville, KY seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead a large, complex manufacturing operation, focusing on proactive risk prevention and culture change.

The role partners with plant leadership, operations, maintenance and engineering, coaching EHS professionals and engaging union employees to embed safety in daily decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• Progressive EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
• Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and people development.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive EHS strategy for a large, complex operation.
• Coach and develop EHS professionals and reports.
• Partner with plant leadership to integrate safety into operations.
• Oversee compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
