Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking an EHS Safety Engineer for an on-site role in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits, with shift hours Monday–Thursday 3–11PM ET.

You will act as the dedicated safety and environmental authority on the manufacturing floor, driving hazard prevention, machinery safety, and regulatory compliance across a high-tech assembly and fabrication plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 3–5+ years hands-on safety engineering in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of LOTO, machine safeguarding, and JHA/JSA.
• Experience with incident investigations using RCA methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Champion the implementation and enforcement of EHS policies, procedures, and best practices across plant operations.
• Lead accident/incident investigations, performing RCA and tracking CAPAs to completion.
• Conduct regular safety audits, ergonomic evaluations, and risk assessments for machinery, robotics, and assembly lines.
• Manage LOTO procedures, machine guarding compliance, and hazard evaluations across CNC, stamping, and fabrication areas.
• Serve as the go-to technical contact during 2nd shift, collaborating with plant leadership, production, and maintenance.
