Caterpillar's Mossville, IL site seeks an EHS Sr. Specialist to help create a safe, compliant workplace while supporting evolving operations.

This is a hands-on role for a safety professional who enjoys connecting to operations, building relationships on the shop floor, developing safety programs, and helping teams adopt new technologies. You will lead safety activities with employees and leaders, develop and continuously improve programs, measure safety metrics, and ensure OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience applying risk management techniques to diverse operational situations.
• Ability to collaborate with employees, leaders and safety teams.
• Strong decision-making processes and judgment in safety contexts.
• Proven ability to work with a variety of people and groups on shop floors.
• Experience overcoming resistance to change in evolving environments.
• Knowledge of problem-solving approaches for operational safety improvements.
• Extensive experience with Environmental Health and Safety policies and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support day-to-day facility safety activities with employees, leaders and other safety teams.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve safety programs, processes, procedures and training.
• Advance serious-injury prevention by strengthening recognition of high-energy exposures and critical controls.
• Embed Safety Driven outcomes through coaching, engagement and Learning Teams.
• Assist with contractor safety management across the facility and IDES Division.
• Maintain and report safety metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide safety guidance for new/existing operations and processes across divisions.
