Caterpillar is seeking an EHS Senior Specialist to lead day-to-day safety activities on the Mossville, IL shop floor and partner with operations to drive safer work practices. You will develop, implement, and continuously improve safety programs and training, while advancing injury prevention.

This on-site role requires strong collaboration, risk assessment, and capability to manage contractor safety and regulatory compliance across divisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on safety experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and EHS policies.
• Ability to train, coach, and lead safety improvements across operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily facility safety activities with employees and leaders.
• Develop and improve safety programs, documentation, and training.
• Advance serious-injury prevention through high-energy exposure controls and bowties.
• Embed Safety Driven outcomes: Care, Learn and Prevent with Learning Teams.
• Assist with contractor safety management across the facility and divisions.
• Maintain safety metrics and report trends for continuous improvement.
• Ensure required EHS training and onboarding for all personnel.
