Job summary

Lanco in Lenexa, Kansas, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety professional to lead site safety programs in a manufacturing facility that welds and assembles crane and forklift components. Qualifications

• Bachelor's in safety, environmental health, or related field.
• 1–3 years of safety, manufacturing, or production experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and OSHA safety standards.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead new hire safety onboarding and site orientation for employees, temporary labor, visitors, contractors and emergency responders.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver safety and compliance training programs for the facility.
• Conduct regular safety inspections (welding/hot work, crane, forklift) and track corrective actions.
• Ensure facility adherence to EHS policies and support policy updates.
• Support Workers’ Compensation program, claims coordination, and return-to-work processes.
• Maintain OSHA 300/300A records, SDS libraries, and environmental compliance docs.
• Develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Administer inspection programs for cranes, rigging, and powered industrial trucks with certifications.
• Track EHS metrics (TRIR, DART, near-misses) and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate plant safety committee activities and item follow-up.
• Support org projects from an EHS perspective and foster safety culture.
