Job summary

LeoForce is seeking an EH&S Manager for a large-scale, high-speed manufacturing facility in Downey, CA. You will lead environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on presence on the shop floor, and experience with ISO 18001/ISO 14001 audits. Relocation support is available for the right candidate; travel is discouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of EHS experience in large-scale manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 18001 and ISO 14001 audits.
• Strong background in environmental and regulatory compliance.
• Experience conducting risk assessments in large-scale manufacturing environments.
• Experience in Food & Beverage manufacturing preferred; others may be considered.
• Experience with large-scale manufacturing electrical systems.
• Knowledge of DOT safety requirements.
• Workers' Compensation experience desired.
• CSP preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS programs for a large-scale manufacturing facility.
• Provide EHS subject matter expertise and leadership across the operation.
• Develop and improve Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Manage ISO 18001 and ISO 14001 programs and audits.
• Conduct and oversee workplace risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide environmental guidance to facility leadership and operations.
• Support safety programs involving large-scale manufacturing electrical systems.
• Oversee DOT safety requirements knowledge.
• Support and/or manage Workers' Compensation activities.
• Partner with employees and teams to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
• Build relationships with production, maintenance, operations, and leadership.
• Communicate EHS matters and recommendations to leadership.
• Deliver clear presentations to senior leadership.
• Ensure smooth transition from retiring incumbent.
