Job summary

LeoForce in Smithfield, NC is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead all EHS initiatives at the site. You will drive compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards, manage audits, and cultivate a zero-incident safety culture across operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field and 5+ years of EHS leadership experience in manufacturing, with strong cross-functional collaboration and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 5+ years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards (14001/45001 preferred).
• Experience driving safety culture and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide EHS programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
• Drive a proactive, zero-incident safety culture through leadership and employee engagement.
• Manage and maintain ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 (OHSAS) certifications.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies across operations.
• Track and report EHS metrics (leading/lagging indicators) to leadership.
• Lead audits, investigations, and corrective action plans.
• Partner with site leadership to align EHS initiatives with business goals.
• Oversee training programs and ensure full compliance across teams.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
