Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking an EHS Coordinator for our Plymouth, MI facility to lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety program. You will ensure MIOSHA compliance, drive safety initiatives, and coach management on safe practices in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

The role focuses on front-line supervision, program development, and continuous safety improvements within a full-time onsite environment. Experience in manufacturing safety is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MIOSHA regulations and environmental compliance.
• Excellent communication and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on environmental, health, and safety matters across operations.
• Develop and maintain EHS programs in compliance with MIOSHA and company policies.
• Conduct site inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS orientation and training for new hires and staff.
• Investigate incidents and develop preventive action plans.
• Stay current on MIOSHA regulations and best practices.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment.
• Prepare Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for facility roles.
• Collaborate with leadership and other facilities as needed.
